Colonial Williamsburg is a place where you can go and walk the streets of an 18th century city. It was a lot of fun. We got to learn a lot of history. 🙂 Pic #1: Me, holding a gun!!! Don’t worry, it’s not armed 🙂 Pic #2: After we saw a court demonstration, we got to put our heads in the stocks. The stocks is a punishment where you sit in the stocks all day. No food, water, nothing. People could throw food at you, hit you, etc. It was terrible. Pic #3: me, my brother, my sister, and my dad standing under the “Josiah Chowing”. My dad’s name is Josiah, so we just thought it was funny. Pic #4: we got some “colonial ice cream” and my sister, Audrey really liked it!!! Pic #5: we got to talk to Marquis de Lafayette, French fighter. He came over from France to help the American’s when he heard about the war between America and Britain. Pic #6: We were looking in an engraving shop where you can take a piece of art to the store and they engrave it on a piece brass. Pic #7: We stopped on the street and got to play with toys that kids in the 18th century would play with.
